Jesus is Lord

[ je'zus ]   The personal name of Christ. The
name means "Yahweh" (Jehovah) is salvation.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the
Word was God."
"And the
Word became flesh, and dwelt among us.

John 1:1,14.

"Be it known unto you all, and to all the people
of Israel, that by the
name of Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised
from the dead, even by him doth this man stand
here before you whole.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is
no other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved."
Acts 4:10,12.

In the poem above I honor the Father by using the name Jehovah
as found in the King James version of the Bible.
Gen. 22:14,   Ex. 6:3;17:15,   Judges 6:24,   Is.12:2;26:4,   Ps.83:18

We Christians acknowledge this name (Jehovah) continually in our
praise and worship by exclaiming Alleluia (Greek) or
Hallelujah (Hebrew)
Hallelu=Praise       Jah=God
Jah is the shortened form of Jehovah. (
Psalms 68:4)
So every time we say hallelujah we're saying praise Jehovah or praise God.
It's perfectly acceptable to praise God in this manner as long as you
accept the Son, Jesus, for who he says he is. Like the verses mentioned
above,
Acts 4:10, 12, it's only through the name of Jesus that men
can be saved.

We as Christians must be careful
NOT  to fall under the teachings of
Arius, which tries to make Jesus less than what the bible says he is.
Arius taught that Jesus was a created being, less than God in nature,
being more on par with the angels in heaven. This teaching is called
the Arian heresy. Anyone who believes or teaches this is preaching
another Jesus according to
2 Corinthians 11:4
Remember Jesus name means "Jehovah saves " or "God our salvation".
"  Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ?
He is anti-christ, that denieth the Father and the Son.
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but] he
that acknowedgeth the Son hath the Father also.  "
I John 2:22-23

What are we being saved from?

Jehovah in the old testament says, "  I, even
I, am he (Jehovah) that
blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not
remember thy sins.  "
Isaiah 43:25

Jesus in the new testament says, "  I said therefore unto you, that ye
shall die in your sins: for if you believe not that
I AM HE (Jehovah),
ye shall die in your sins.  "
 John 8:24

What are we being saved from? We're being saved from our sins!

We have to believe what Jesus says of himself which the man Arius
denies.

That Jesus said, "  I am He  "    "  I am Jehovah God  "
I am; Jehovah who saves: God your salvation: Jesus your savior.
The only one who can save us from our sins, Jesus Christ our Lord
God and Savior.
                Titus 2:13

The Church or body of Jesus Christ.

You'll know you're in the right church when you have the right Jesus
and you're worshipping him in Spirit and Truth. You're open to and
free to have fellowship with any other believer that is in Christ Jesus.

You'll know that you're in a cult (usually preaching the wrong Jesus)
or a religious denomination (preaching the right Jesus)  when either
one of these tells you that you can't be saved anywhere else or outside of
their organization.

Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is just to big to be cornered by man.

Faith in Him trumps ( is more powerful and supersedes) any
earthly organization.

He
(Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth,
visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities;
all things were created by him and for him.
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
And he
(Jesus) is the head of the body, the Church; he is the
beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in
everything he might have the supremacy.
For God was pleased to have all his
(Gods) fullness dwell in him (Jesus),
and through him (Jesus) to reconcile to himself (God) all things, whether
things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood,
shed on the cross
. (Colossians 1:15-20)

Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds
because of your evil behavior.
But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to
present you holy in his sight , without blemish and free from accusation---

(
Colossians 1:21-22)

To fully understand what the nature of the church is to be, we must
understand what the true nature of Jesus is.
He is the head of the Church and we are his body.
When we know who he is we’ll know who we are called to be.

How was it that Jesus who we know as the son of God, who was born
to a virgin, who lived his life as a man on earth and eventually died on
the cross for us.
How is it said of him that he created all things?
We must understand that Jesus before he was born as a man had a
preexistence.
That he took on the role and the name, the Son of God when here on earth.
Before this he had another name, that being the Word of God.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God.
 (John 1:1)
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his
glory as the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth
”(John 1:14)

Who being in very nature God, Did not consider equality with God
something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very
nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.  And being found
in appearance as a man, He humbled himself and became obedient to
death--Even death on the cross!
”    (Philippians 2:6-8)

Jesus who as the Word of God (Spiritually God) became Jesus the
Son of God (fleshly being).
Though Jesus lived on earth as a man, in a fleshly body, his Spirit
was the nature of God.
For in Christ all the fullness of the Godhead lives bodily.” (Colossians 2:9)

For we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels,
now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death,
so that by the grace of God
he might taste death for everyone.”
In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom
and through everything exists, should make the author of their
salvation perfect through suffering
. (Hebrews 2:9-10)
since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their
humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds
the power of death--that is--The devil--and free those who all
their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants.
For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way,
in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest
in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins
of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted,
he is able to help those who are being tempted.

(
Hebrews 2:14-18)

In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at
many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to
us
by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom
he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s Glory and the
exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.
After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right
hand of the Majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to the
angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. For to which
of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; today I have become
your Father.”   Or again, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.”
And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,
“Let all God’s angels worship him.
In speaking of the angels he says,” He makes his angels winds,
his servants flames of fire.”
But unto the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever
and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God,
your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with
the oil of joy.
”       (Hebrews 1:1-9)

The Word of God for our sakes took on human form and took
on the role of the “Son of God”.
When he, Christ, returns he will again have the authority he
had before he became Jesus.

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse,
whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and
makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns.
He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.
He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the
“Word of God
”.          (Revelations 19:11-13,16.)

On his robe and on his thigh he has this name
written:

KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS
